Honorary Visiting Senior Research Fellow University of Bristol
Colin Johnson is a visiting Senior Research Fellow at the University of Bristol and an independent educational consultant. He holds Master’s degrees in both Chemistry (University of Oxford) and Education (University of Wales). After 24 years in the formal education sector, as science teacher and university lecturer in science education, he joined the team that created the UK’s first purpose-built science discovery centre, Techniquest in Cardiff. For seven years he was its chief executive. Since retiring from that role he has remained active in the field, both in the UK and overseas. Colin is an honorary Fellow of Ecsite and of the British Science Association, and was the 2011 Fellow Awardee of the Association of Science-Technology Centres, ASTC. He was appointed OBE in 2004.
